Godspeed, My Son

It has been about 24 hours now since we put Ryan on the plane and said our goodbyes. The goodbye part is always hard. Kind of like "ripping off the bandaid," as Heidi would say.

We are gonna miss the happy, sweet, kind, compassionate, hilarious, thoughtful, friendly, hard-working, and humble presence that is Ryan. He leaves a gigantic hole. But what a happy experience! He is doing exactly the right thing at exactly the right time. Wouldn't change it for the world. All I can say is LUCKY CROATIA.

Enjoy the adventure, and Godspeed, my son. (Especially the speed part!)

Hear, hear!! That Ryan is quite the wonderful kid!!! I love him to death. I'll be thinking of him often. I'm sure he will do a great job. I just wish I could have been there with you over the weekend. I'm sure glad you guys came to Utah so I could see him, along with mom and dad. It meant a lot to us.

I love you, sis!

I'm so glad I got to see you guys the other week before Ryan left. I can't believe he's old enough to go! Also, thanks for your posts on my blog. It's fun to know someone else is listening. :)
