It Gave Me A Fright (what movies is that from?)

JTLYK, there was a grasshopper on my pillow when I made my bed this morning (see my previous post.) Tell me, how did a grasshopper get in my bedroom? It is beyond my ken. (What song is that from?) The most frightening possibility is that it came in with me yesterday after working outside. Hm. That freaks me out...was it in my hair? On my shirt? This is not cool. The offending creature is currently on my bedroom carpet where I smashed the bajeebers out of it in my hysteric horror. Don't think I can pick it up...maybe the vacuum? Ack.

Zachary thought it was hilarious that you found a grasshopper on your pillow. Then I told him what you did to it and he asked, "What does 'bejeebers' mean?" When I explained THAT, he said, "Aw...that's sad."

BTW, I discovered the boys sword fighting with paper tubes this morning. They were the wrapping paper kind, which meant that Zachary took it upon himself to remove wrapping paper from two tubes. He felt quite proud of his creativity.

"Beyond my ken" is from "16 going on 17" - Sound of Music. :)

And grasshoppers make me want to hide in my closet with a pillow over my head and cry like a little girl. Hate, hate, HATE grasshoppers. David and I just had this conversation yesterday! If I found a grasshopper on my pillow I think you'd have to scrape *me* off the carpet too.

Way to go, Wizzle, I knew you would know it. Do you know what movie "It gave me a fright" is from? :)

Runningfan...sorry about the creativity. And I'm also sorry for making Zach sad. Can't guarantee I won't do the same thing next time, though. But we'll protect him from the sad truth. :)

OK, I think it is actually "You gave me a fright." I'm trusting my memory, which is a risky thing to do these days, but I believe that quote is in the newer Parent Trap. Correct me if I'm wrong...I don't have time to check it out at present. :)
